Position: Senior Engineer QA/QC (Civil)

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Job Summary

Senior Engineer QA/QC (Civil)

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor

  QA/QC systems

  at site in line with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes/standards.
• Prepare, review, and maintain

  Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements

  , and checklists.
• Conduct

  inspection and testing

  of materials and works related to:
• Earthwork, excavation, backfilling, and compaction
• Road works (subgrade, sub-base, WMM, bituminous works, concrete roads)
• Railway works (formation, embankment, track bed, ballast, structures)
• Industrial and infrastructure civil works
  
• Ensure

  material testing

  as per IS/ASTM standards (soil, aggregates, concrete, bitumen, steel, etc.).
• Coordinate with

  site execution teams, consultants, and clients

  for inspections, approvals, and quality clearances.
• Monitor

  site laboratory activities

  , test results, and calibration of testing equipment.
• Identify non-conformities, issue

  NCRs

  , and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain proper

  QA/QC documentation

  , test reports, inspection records, and quality dossiers.
• Support audits (internal/external) and ensure compliance with

  ISO/Quality Management Systems

  (if applicable).
• Assist in training site staff on

  quality procedures and best practices

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  safety and environmental standards

  related to quality activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  civil construction quality standards and specifications

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  roads, railways, earthworks, and infrastructure projects

  .
• Familiarity with

  IS codes, MoRTH specifications

  , and relevant quality norms.
• Ability to read and interpret

  drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications

  .
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency in

  documentation, reporting, and site coordination

  .
• Working knowledge of

  MS Excel, Word

  , and basic reporting tools.

Experience Profile

• 5 to 10 years

  of relevant QA/QC experience in:
• Roads & highways
• Railway projects
• Earthworks & excavation
• Industrial and infrastructure construction projects
  

Preferred (Added Advantage)

• Experience in

  large-scale EPC / infrastructure projects

• Exposure to

  ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

• Site laboratory handling experience
