India Leadership & Strategy
- Strengthening and leveraging the tremendous talent and the capabilities in Hyderabad to optimize its operating model, transform its talent management strategy, and strengthen its Invesco brand presence.
- Defining the evolution of the capabilities in India to meet Invesco’s evolving business needs, including incubating new capabilities and transitioning additional work to India.
- Establishing effective governance processes and meeting cadence with senior global leaders ; share and seek feedback; and share relevant IIPL updates.
- Identifying and addressing problems and opportunities; bringing appropriate topics to the attention of the Board and/or relevant committees; and facilitating discussion and deliberation to advise local policymaking.
- Developing and maintaining strong strategic partnerships and collaboration with leaders across all regions and functions.
- Serving as the Co-Chair of the Invesco Leadership Team (ILT) and the India Operating Council.
- Steering and supporting the ILT in achieving strategic goals and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Working with global senior leaders and the Board to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals.
Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC)
- Leading the Global Finance Shared Service Centre and managing a high performing team of 180+ FTE.
- Providing strategic direction for the Finance SSC, including instilling a continuous improvement mindset, adding new relevant processes, and ensuring the most optimal use of AI, ERP and other technology drivers, with a focus on standardizing, optimizing and automating processes.
- Ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes (to include established metrics and KPIs, if applicable) and expectations on quality and costs.
- Leading/Driving synergy between functions that are co-located in Hyderabad and ensure effective collaboration and cross-engagement of teams within the Finance SSC.
- Engaging regularly with global stakeholders and ensuring high satisfaction with services per established service level agreements.
- Defining the evolution of the Finance capabilities in India to meet evolving business needs, including incubating new capabilities and transitioning additional work to India.
- Driving a culture of accountability and ownership to resolve issues, address action items, and ensure strict adherence to IIPL policies.
- Removing barriers that are impacting execution.
- Hiring and developing a best-in-class Finance SSC team.
- Driving orientation and other learning and development initiatives for upskilling and cross training resources within Finance.
- Leading and driving campus initiatives/programs partnering with the HR Talent Acquisition team.
- Developing a ‘One Team’ culture and mindset where the Finance team integrates seamlessly with the wider Finance organisation and locally with other teams in Hyderabad.
People & Culture
- Driving collaboration and teamwork across all functional areas in India.
- Cultivating high performing and engaged teams and leading by example.
- Challenging the team to continually strive for higher performance rather than being comfortable with the status quo.

- Playing a key role in mentoring functional heads and succession planning.
Governance, Conduct & Risk
- Defining and establishing a governance framework for the entity.
- Reviewing and signing local regulatory documents.
- Serving as the chair or a member of the Risk Management Committee, Internal Committee, and Emergency Management Committee.
- As a Director of the Board, ensuring a systematic transparent review of the firm’s financials, key developments, and risks.
- Promoting the company’s Code of Conduct, values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, and corporate (social) responsibility.
- Leading by example and encouraging all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies.
The Experience You Bring:
As one of the most senior leaders of Invesco’s operations in India and with visibility to Invesco’s Executive Leadership Team, the candidate must be a broadly skilled, strategic leader with a high level of intelligence, business acumen, and executive presence, as well as possess a penchant for innovation, a transformative mindset, personal accountability, and a clear command of the Finance domain and the India marketplace.The leader must be a pragmatic and hands-on natural leader with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading a multi-function SSC, with an emphasis in Finance, and spearheading a transformation.
- 20+ years’ experience, including experience leading a multi-function SSC and incubating new and scaling existing capabilities, preferably in the Financial Services or Asset Management industry.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience across the Finance and Accounting domain.
- Experience in a broad range of Finance processes including Accounting, Reporting, procure to pay, Order to cash, Finance planning and Budgeting, Tax and other processes.
- Evidence of leading transformation and change management programs in a complex global organization, including transformation skills within the Finance domain.
- A “player-coach” and proven manager/developer of people; capable of recruiting, retaining and motivating teams; empowers his/her employees, but holds them accountable to the highest standards of performance and integrity.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to distill complex ideas and deliver them to a wide variety of audiences and stakeholder groups; highly collaborative, able to effectively communicate and partner across functions.
- Ability to think and lead across diverse environments and geographies; able to quickly connect and relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and leadership styles.
- Proactive self-starter possessing a collaborative, yet relentless approach to process improvement and team management in order to achieve best-in-class results.
- The ability to influence and drive initiatives across functions, levels, and regions; tough-minded with courage of conviction, yet collaborative and professional; approachable and non-hierarchical.
- Upbeat and dynamic management style, combined with superior communication skills and high credibility; able to gain followership and attain buy-in from internal stakeholders; capable of successfully navigating an organizational matrix.
- A fast learner and decisive leader with a quick mind, sound judgment, and excellent problem solving / critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of India labor market and other local nuances.
- 5+ years of implementation or end user experience on ERP and EPM is preferable.
Academic requirements
- Graduation from a recognized institute is required. A post-graduate degree (MBA, Finance) is preferred.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant with a thorough understanding of US GAAP is preferred.
