Your mission is to map, analyze, and optimize business processes that drive operational and IT excellence on our service stations across our European markets—Germany, UK, Poland, Spain and Portugal. You will lead workshops, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with bp’s global Business Process Management Center of Excellence to establish the Enterprise Activity Model for Mobility & Convenience in EuropeThis role is at the heart of our M&C Europe transformation agenda. You will contribute to our goals to:
- Simplify & Scale Digital: Re-define total cost of ownership, streamline infrastructure and architecture in partnership with our global Finance, Business & Technology centers and deliver major digitally enabled transformation programs.
- Optimize Cost Transparency: Identify efficiency opportunities and enable informed trade-off decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- To succeed in this role, the Business Process Analyst will be expected to deliver the following outcomes:
- Enterprise Activity Model Development Contribute to the creation and delivery of the Enterprise Activity Model for M&C Europe, in partnership with bp’s Business Process Management Center of Excellence, establishing a foundational framework for process ownership and transformation.
- RACI Model Implementation Establish clear RACI models for business process ownership across markets, ensuring accountability and governance in process execution.
- Process Impact Analysis Analyze current business processes affected by the replacement of core retail systems—including POS, BOS, ERP/HOS, productivity & maintenance tools, and support service desk operations—to ensure seamless transition and operational continuity.
- Workflow Mapping & Requirements Documentation Deliver clear and comprehensive ARIS mappings of existing workflows and document business requirements to support process improvements and system integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with departments across Mobility & Convenience Europe to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for process redesign that enhance performance and cost transparency.
- Accountability Alignment Ensure that clear accountabilities for the future-state (“to-be”) processes are agreed upon and implemented by the business, enabling consistent execution and ownership.
- Process Adoption & Monitoring Monitor the adoption of new processes across business operations and report on process adherence, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Activity Hierarchy Definition Support the team leader in defining a high-level activity hierarchy, including categories such as merchandising, supply chain, store operations, customer engagement, finance, and IT support.
- Process Taxonomy Establishment Establish a standardized process taxonomy in line with bp group standards, including clear naming conventions and definitions to ensure a shared language across customers.
- Financial Impact Analysis Link business activities to revenue drivers, cost centers, and margin levers to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking. Focus on identifying high-impact processes with the greatest potential for cost savings or value creation, supporting bp’s profitability goals.
- IT Impact Mapping Identify which processes are most constrained by or dependent on system architecture, informing prioritization and technical planning
Experience And Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Business Process Management Expertise: Proven experience with BPM methodologies and tools such as ARIS, Kryon, and Celonis. Solid understanding of Enterprise Activity Models and their application in process optimization with a special focus on core Retail IT systems such as point of sale, back office ERP or productivity.
- Workshop Facilitation: Demonstrated ability to lead workshops for documenting business processes using ARIS, engaging cross-functional customers effectively.
- ERP Deployment Experience: Hands-on involvement in large-scale ERP implementations is highly desirable, especially within complex organizational environments.
- Retail Industry Knowledge: Solid background in retail operations, preferably with exposure to retail IT deployments and operational excellence initiatives.
- Language Skills:Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in an additional European language would be a significant advantage—preferably German, but Spanish or Polish also valued.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI is a significant advantage.
- Attitude & Soft Skills: A continuous improvement perspective, strong analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Background: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field!
