Position: Business Development Officer

Industry: Interior Fit-outs & Contracting

Reports To: Business Development Manager / Director

Qualification: Graduate, MBA

Experience: 4 to 5 Years

Salary: As Par with Industry Standard (30,000 to 35,000)


Job Summary:

Business Development Officer


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Sales

  • Identify and generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, real estate developers, architects, interior designers, and project consultants.
  • Convert potential leads into business contracts through effective sales strategies.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Handle client inquiries, address concerns, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Collect client feedback and coordinate with internal teams for service improvements.

3. Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitors, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Identify new sectors and geographical areas for business expansion.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance market presence.

4. Proposal & Contract Management

  • Prepare and present business proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Work with the design and project teams to create feasible proposals.
  • Negotiate and close contracts while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

5. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to align sales with project execution.
  • Ensure smooth handover of projects from sales to operations.
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress and business development activities.

6. Brand Awareness & Networking

  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Develop and enhance the company’s brand visibility in the interior fit-out market.
  • Utilize digital marketing channels to generate leads and improve brand positioning.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the interior fit-out or construction industry.
  • Strong network within the real estate, interior design, or contracting sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of project estimation, budgeting, and contract negotiation is a plus.
