We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead sales initiatives in the schools segment, build strong partnerships, and accelerate our growth in the education sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales

  • Identify, approach, and onboard schools, colleges, and educational institutions for Classess.com’s products and services.
  • Conduct school visits, demos, and presentations to showcase product benefits to decision-makers (Principals, Management, Teachers).
  • Build a sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Work with the marketing team to plan campaigns, workshops, and roadshows in schools.

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with school management, educators, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for schools, ensuring smooth onboarding and adoption of Classess solutions.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Understand school sales cycles, fee structures, and procurement processes.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and provide insights to enhance sales strategies.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop regional sales strategies and expansion plans.

Team Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate with product, support, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, and provide weekly/monthly reports on performance.
  • Train and mentor junior sales executives/interns (if applicable).

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (MBA/PGDM preferred, but not mandatory if strong experience).
  • Experience:
  • 2–5 years in school/EdTech sales, publishing, or academic solutions sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (English, Hindi, and local languages preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for school visits and sales activities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end sales cycle.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: ₹10,00,000 per year (based on experience)
  • Incentives: Performance-based incentives/commissions on revenue targets.
  • Other Benefits: Travel allowance (2-wheeler/4-wheeler), insurance, and reimbursements.
