About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for transforming raw collections data into actionable business intelligence. You will meticulously analyze operational reports, customer feedback, and performance metrics to identify trends, pinpoint areas of inefficiency, and develop data-driven recommendations that improve our processes and overall collection performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Reporting & Analysis:

* Performance Monitoring: Design, build, and maintain analytical reports and dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as recovery rates, account aging, collection agent productivity, and call volume metrics.

* Trend Identification: Analyze patterns in operational data, customer feedback (e.g., complaints, disputes), and workflow results to identify bottlenecks and areas where operational performance can be optimized.

* Root Cause Analysis: Conduct deep-dive investigations into variances in performance, escalated operational matters, or unexpected data shifts to determine the underlying business factors.

2. Process Improvement & Strategy:

* Recommendation Development: Translate analytical findings into clear, data-backed proposals for improving collection procedures, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall workflow efficiency.

* Project Support: Support the Operations team by creating reporting models and analyses for new initiatives or changes to collection strategies.

* Ad-Hoc Reporting: Fulfill specialized data and analysis requests from internal stakeholders, including Operations, Finance, and Management.

3. Data Integrity & Tools:

* Ensure the consistency and accuracy of data utilized for all reporting and analysis.

* Collaborate with the IT or Development teams to validate data sources and improve the efficiency of data extraction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.

* Experience: 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or reporting role, preferably within a fast-paced business operations environment.

* Technical Proficiency (Must-Haves):

* Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V LOOKUP/X LOOKUP, complex formulas, modeling) are essential. Must also be proficient in using Microsoft PowerPoint for presenting data.

* Experience with Data Querying: Familiarity with SQL or similar database query languages to extract and manipulate large datasets.

* Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Experience creating professional reports and interactive dashboards in platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to connect operational data points to business outcomes and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications:

* Experience with collections management systems or related industry software.

* Knowledge of predictive analytics or forecasting techniques.

* Proven ability to automate recurring reports and tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis or reporting (preferred). Freshers may apply.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SQL and Power BI/Tableau preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
