About The Role
The Guidewire Senior Business Analyst - PolicyCenter at PwC Acceleration Center India plays a pivotal role in providing strategic and functional guidance for the implementation and optimization of Guidewire Suite applications. This position requires a highly experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry and expertise in Guidewire products, particularly PolicyCenter. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex projects from requirements gathering to solution delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards. The role involves managing stakeholder expectations, facilitating communication between technical teams and business units, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, with a focus on Guidewire applications within the insurance domain, is essential. Demonstrated expertise in guiding large-scale Guidewire implementations, strong understanding of ITIL processes, and experience with SaaS and on-premises environments are highly preferred. Candidates should have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, along with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Splunk, and SQL is also desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into functional specifications for Guidewire PolicyCenter and other modules.
- Develop detailed process flows, user stories, UI mockups, and data mappings aligned with industry best practices and client expectations.
- Conduct business walkthroughs, facilitate workshops, and ensure clear communication between technical teams and stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of Guidewire applications, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as a functional lead, providing solution strategy, application evolution services, and guidance on future enhancements to clients.
- Implement and manage ITIL processes related to incident, problem, and SLA management for Guidewire solutions, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Assist clients in optimizing their business processes, leveraging Guidewire Suite capabilities to create value and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and present complex proposals, whitepapers, and strategic roadmaps to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting continuous learning and skills development.
- Identify new service opportunities through networking, negotiation, and strategic client engagement.
- Participate in industry thought leadership by contributing to blogs, whitepapers, and training sessions.
- Handle escalations effectively, maintaining stability during periods of system or process instability, and supporting clients through critical issues.
