Branch Sales Manager

Job Description

The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, managing branch operations, and ensuring strong customer engagement. This role oversees the branch sales team, leads business development initiatives, and ensures achievement of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute branch-level sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the branch’s customer base.
  • Conduct sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
  • Promote cross-selling and upselling of company products and services.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise the branch sales team.
  • Set individual sales targets and monitor performance through regular reviews.
  • Conduct coaching sessions to improve selling skills, product knowledge, and customer handling.
  • Ensure team adherence to sales processes, compliance standards, and ethical practices.

Branch Operations & Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day branch activities to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit guidelines.
  • Manage branch budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve escalations, and ensure high service quality.
  • Conduct customer visits, meetings, and presentations to strengthen engagement.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer preferences.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, branch metrics, and strategic recommendations.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve branch performance where necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage targets and drive team performance.
  • Good understanding of CRM tools, sales analytics, and branch operations.
  • Customer-centric mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
