The Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Automobile Spare Parts will be responsible for driving sales, managing distribution channels, developing new markets, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. The role requires strong leadership, dealer/retailer network management, and expertise in spare parts sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for spare parts.
- Plan and implement effective sales strategies to maximize market share.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
2-Dealer / Distributor / Retailer Management
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and retailers in the assigned territory.
- Ensure adequate stock availability and timely replenishment of spare parts.
- Build strong relationships with channel partners to increase loyalty and sales.
3-Business Development
- Identify and onboard new customers, garages, and workshops.
- Expand market coverage for both 2W & 4W spare parts.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling of fast-moving parts.
4-Team & Market Support
- Guide and train field sales executives and mechanics promoters.
- Conduct market visits to ensure brand visibility, merchandising, and promotional activities.
- Collect market feedback and provide inputs to product and marketing teams.
5-Operations & Reporting
- Monitor sales MIS, order booking, billing, and collections.
- Track inventory and coordinate with supply chain for smooth dispatches.
- Submit timely reports on sales performance, competitor analysis, and market opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of automobile spare parts industry (2W/4W preferred).
- Proven track record in channel management & sales achievement.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market insights.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM, and sales reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
- 4–7 years of experience in automobile spare parts sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/ASM role.
- Experience in handling distributors, retailers, and workshops is a must.
