Role Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service, guest satisfaction, team management, and adherence to company standards. The role involves leading teams, driving sales, and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Service

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, health, and safety regulations.
  • Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism.

Team Management

  • Assist in training, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and discipline.
  • Motivate the team to achieve operational and service excellence.

Sales & Revenue

  • Support in achieving sales targets and controlling operational costs.
  • Upsell menu offerings and promote loyalty programs.
  • Monitor inventory, reduce wastage, and ensure cost efficiency.

Administration

  • Ensure timely documentation, reporting, and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in vendor coordination, procurement, and stock control.
  • Support Restaurant Manager in audits and other administrative functions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate/Diploma in Hotel/Restaurant Management or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience in F&B / hospitality operations (restaurant or hotel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Customer-oriented with problem-solving attitude.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
