Job Purpose

  • The job purpose of a RGM is to oversee the efficient, processed and profitable operation of a restaurant. 
  • This role involves a combination of leadership, management, product obsession and customer service skills to ensure the restaurant meets its financial goals while delivering a high-quality dining experience 
  • The RGM plays a crucial role in creating a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, and ensuring the overall success and growth of the restaurant. 
  • Key responsibilities include restaurant operations, building people capability, driving best in class customer experience, driving topline sales, P&L management, statutory compliance, adherence to FSSAI norms, ordering & inventory management, etc 


Key Result Areas

Restaurant Management

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and effectively as per global brand standards. 
  • Maintain high standards and obsession to food quality, taste and dining service 
  • Maintains excellence around cleanliness, food safety, hygiene and restaurant maintenance 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operating standards and FSSAI procedures. 

Financial Performance

  • Build sales across all channels – dining in, take away and delivery 
  • Manage budgets, forecast sales, and optimize cost-lines. 
  • Analyze financial statements and take corrective actions as needed. 

People Capability

  • Recruit, hire, train, and leads restaurant team members. 
  • Engage with teams to drive productivity and retention, conduct periodic 1:1 
  • Develop work schedules (roster) and manage efficient staffing levels. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. 

Customer Service

  • Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for all customers. 
  • Delivers perfect product, every day, every transaction, every channel – Dining and Delivery 
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints… resolve issues & complaints promptly. 
  • Listens to the voice of the customer: offline (in-restaurant) and online (google, social media, aggregators, etc.) 

Home Delivery Operations

  • Ensure a seamless ordering process, whether through a dedicated phone line, mobile app, or online platform. 
  • Double-check each order for accuracy, confirming the items, special instructions, and delivery address to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Equip team with tools and technology to track orders and provide real-time updates to customers. 
  • Provide excellent customer service by tracking order status, estimated delivery time, and handling any issues promptly. 

Compliances

  • Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulation required for food safety procedures and protocols 
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with brand standards and FSSAI standards. 
  • Understands and drives financial procedures and controls to mitigate leakages and pilferages 
  • Execute tighter controls on inventory and cash procedures 

Operations Management

  • Quality and Food Safety 
  • Repair and Maintenance - keep assets and equipment in good condition 
  • Supply Chain Management: Forecasting, Ordering, Receiving & GRN procedures and protocols 
  • Weekly & Monthly Inventory management 
  • Financial and Business controls – cash, inventory levels, etc.
