Job Description: Accounts Manager - Jewelry Firm Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our established jewelry firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial acumen with specific knowledge of the jewelry industry to effectively manage our accounting operations while supporting our business growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting processes Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits Supervise inventory accounting and reconciliation specific to jewelry merchandise Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific reporting requirements Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures Manage relationships with banks, insurance providers, and financial partners Supervise and mentor accounting staff members Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the manufacturing industry Strong understanding of inventory management systems for high-value merchandise Knowledge of insurance, security, and compliance issues specific to jewelry businesses Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Experience with POS systems commonly used in jewelry retail Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications CPA or relevant professional accounting certification Experience with international sourcing and precious metals accounting Knowledge of appraisal processes and valuation methods for jewelry Familiarity with consignment accounting procedures Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Professional development opportunities The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to excellence in both craftsmanship and business practices.
