Key Responsibilities: Identify and research suppliers for stationery (pens, notebooks), laces (craft ribbons, sewing threads), DIY supplies (tools, adhesives), and toys (educational, craft kits); compare quotes, negotiate prices, and finalize contracts. Monitor stock levels across categories, forecast demand based on sales trends and seasons (e.g., back-to-school for stationery, festive for toys), and place timely reorders to avoid shortages or overstock. Track orders from placement to delivery, inspect incoming goods for quality/defects (e.g., toy safety standards, lace durability), handle returns, and update inventory records in spreadsheets or software.​ Maintain vendor relationships, attend trade fairs for new products, and prepare reports on purchase costs, savings, and variances for management review.​ Profile and Skills Education: Graduate in commerce/business; 1-3 years in retail procurement, ideally with consumer goods like stationery or toys. Skills: Strong negotiation, vendor management, basic Excel for tracking (e.g., IMPORTRANGE for multi-sheet inventory), attention to detail for quality checks, and market awareness of trends in DIY/toys. Traits: Organized, cost-conscious, proactive in spotting deals, and able to handle multiple categories with varying suppliers. Reporting and GrowthReports to Purchase Manager or Operations Head; coordinates with sales/store teams for requirements.​ KPIs: Cost savings (5-10% on purchases), zero stockouts on high-demand items, 95% on-time deliveries.
