Job Description

Spectrum is a leading exporter of sugar plant equipment and executes sugar factory projects. We are looking for a technically strong Purchase Engineer who can read, understand, AND DRAW mechanical drawings for procurement and project execution.

Technical drawing knowledge and ability to prepare drawings is MANDATORY for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Read, understand, and prepare mechanical drawings related to sugar plant equipment

Study drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements

Prepare technical purchase enquiries and RFQs based on drawings

Procurement of fabricated, machined, and bought-out mechanical items

Vendor identification, development, and technical discussions

Prepare technical & commercial comparisons

Price negotiation and PO finalization

Coordinate with design, QC, project, and stores teams

Ensure timely delivery as per project schedules

Support export and project-related procurement requirements

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge

Ability to READ AND DRAW mechanical drawings (AutoCAD or similar)

Strong mechanical fundamentals

Knowledge of sugar plant / heavy engineering equipment

Vendor negotiation and coordination skills

Good documentation and follow-up skills
