Job Description – Assistant Finance Manager

Walter Cummins Shipping Services (WCS) is looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our team at our Kochi office. The role requires strong hands-on experience in shipping agency finance operations, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and coordination with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Vessel and port accounting
• GST / TDS compliance and audit support
• MIS reporting including P&L and Balance Sheet
• Bank and vessel account reconciliations
• Coordination with operations and port teams
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure adherence to statutory and internal compliance requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in a Shipping Agency (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and compliance
• Hands-on experience in GST / TDS and audit coordination
• Ability to work closely with operations and management teams

Candidates without shipping agency experience should not apply

Qualification

• M.Com (Mandatory)
