Will be overall responsible for the Security management of Refinery, construction areas, new land area, COT corridor, Labour colony, Petrochem areas & Township. Also responsible for all Security and loss prevention related activities at the Refinery main, Materials, Labour & BP 93 gate; for the management of organic staff mapped under him and contractual staff in the Refinery; for the documentation cell and all MIS / documentation related to the Security Dept. Meeting all legal and statutory compliances, standardization requirements, procedural changes in relation to the Security Department. Overall CAPEX & OPEX management for the Security Dept. and presenting it to Head-Security; for all coordination / policy related / change management activities related to RIMS / Safety / Environment / Training; for all special ops related / exercises involving other Security / Law & Order agencies activities; for liaison with HSEF / HR / Admin / Commercial and VPCL; for all activities related to the Dog Squad; for all activities related to coordination of visits and movements in the Refinery complex and for all activities related to liaison with Khambhalia & Meghpar Police, SOG & IB Jamnagar & Devbhumi Dwarka, military and other armed forces / Security agencies.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Primary Responsibility
- He will be responsible for the Security management in the Refinery complex and update Head Security on timely basis.
- He is the SPOC for all CISF related activities / correspondence / drills etc.
Area Manager Security
- He is responsible for the Security management / Law & order management / Incident & unrest control / Patrolling & surveillance management for the Refinery, Construction areas, New land, COT corridor, Labour colony, Petrochem areas & township
- He is responsible for prevention of any kind of boundary intrusions / encroachments in the new land
- He is responsible for the Security / movement / materials management at the CPP (captive power plant) area.
- He is responsible for the management / infrastructure / systems & sub systems / procedural aspects / traffic management / rights & access issues for Refinery.
- He is responsible for the movements of all employees, visitors, dignitaries, delegations, Govt. officials, contractual staff and clients in the Refinery complex excluding Jetty
- He is responsible for all kinds of materials movement management, scrap movement, prevention of materials related fraud / theft / pilferage / incidents. Preparing and amending from time to time with due approvals the procedures / drills / practices for materials movement management across the complex.
- He is responsible for Security and materials movement management through the COT corridor.
- He is responsible for the management of the Gate Pass Section and will be the overall in-charge of the Gate Pass System and Access Control Management.
- He is the in-charge of the seamless implementation of the Refinery Integrated Security Management System (ISMS) with suitable procedures and ensure proper integration and coordination between the Physical Security, Electronic Security & Procedural framework
- He is the in charge of the Security control room / Security command & control Centre (C2) and is responsible for conduct of day to day uninterrupted operations, updation and change in procedures, alarm and event management, installation maintenance and deployment
- He is the overall in charge for contractual staff management and administration in the Refinery, Construction areas, new land, COT corridor, Labour colony, Petrochem areas & township. He will be responsible for deciding deployment patterns, ensuring zero deficiency in manpower, management of security colony, amenities, staff incentives, wage management & compliances.
- When required will be responsible for Marine Terminal & Nayara Terminal Jetty gate Security; ISPS compliance, ISO 28000-2007 & other compliances; ISMS implementation; Security agency management (City, Jetty and COT area); Infrastructure development at Jetty / CCPL / LF Point; Liaison with Jamnagar Police, Marine Police, CISF (KPT), Indian Coast Guard Station, Vadinar; Training of agency personnel in area of responsibility.
RIMS / Safety / Training coordinator
- Will be responsible for compliance to the RIMS philosophy and standards; implementation of any new initiatives / amendments as approved by management; prepare and update all SOPs / management programs / mandatory & non-mandatory documents & records / master Security manual / threat analysis & risk mitigation plans; conduct of the related audits and resolution of all observations / non-compliances reported. Ensure compliance to all safety regulations mandated by the management; regular reporting of all safety related issues and incidents; conduct of investigations where relevant; conduct of the related audits and resolution of all observations / non-compliances reported.
- Will act as the training coordinator for Security Dept.
Departmental administration
- He will be in charge of the Security Dept. admin requirements and will liaise with the Refinery and other sister companies' admin Dept.
- As per requirement, liaison with Admin / Horticulture / Warehouse for all administrative / logistics / project implementation requirements for the Dept.
Documentation & doc cell
- He is the overall in charge of the documentation process in the Security Dept. in its entirety -
- Doc cell at both the Refinery & Jetty will be functionally reporting to him for documentation purposes
- He will be responsible for ensuring complete documentation progress, incident reporting, investigation & logging, MIS and up to date / timely reporting
- Compliance to the RIMS standards of documents and records / proper disposal of documents / availability of reports & documents as per requirement"
- In the above mentioned role he is responsible for planning / forecasting / usage & management of OPEX / CAPEX for the Security Dept.
Audits & Dept. visits
- He is responsible for the liaison with commercial / F&A Dept. for issues / wage revisions, etc.
Communications
- He will be responsible for all internal and external audits / visits by Govt. officials & other functionaries and carry out necessary liaison for the purpose
Patrolling Management
- He is responsible for the functioning, serviceability & maintenance of the communication network within the Security Dept. (radio / landline / CUG) and liaise as per requirement with Elect / IT dept. for issues
Event management
- He is in charge of the movements / scheduling / serviceability / logging / accounting / maintenance of all the Security Dept. vehicles
Dog Squad
Ceremonial parades
- He will be the chief event coordinator for all visits / AGMs / EGMs / major conferences / public event / festivities in the Refinery complex and NN Township
- He is responsible for the management / deployment / ops / training / health & maintenance of the Dog squad
- He will be responsible for the conduct of the Republic / Independence Day functions at the NN Township every year.

- Ensure that all the loss exposures are identified and suitable controls are established for their mitigation
