15 years full time educationRole: Storage Architecture and Design Engineer Role Description: Storage Engineer – Level 3 is responsible for the implementation, administration, and support of enterprise storage systems. The role requires advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, architecture support, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimal storage operations and data availability. SME acts as the final point of escalation for storage-related incidents and plays a key role in infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate should be capable to provide L3 operations on HP Storage (HP3PAR) and EMC storage systems – Unity, VMAX, Power Scale, VNX and FC Switch Administration. 10+ years of experience in enterprise storage environments with a focus on EMC and HP technologies Must Have Skills: HP3PAR and EMC Storage Good to Have Skills: NetBackup, Rubrik and Avamar – Backup Technologies Job Requirements Key Responsibilities:
-  Should have sound experience in providing L3 support for Storage Management and support on on EMC and HP technologies
-  Design and implement storage systems including installation, configuration, software upgrades, and storage provisioning.
-  Administer Fibre Channel SAN fabrics, including installation, configuration, zoning, software upgrades, and maintenance of switches.
-  Design and Configure Replication for Disaster Recovery
-  Plan and implement best practices for NAS and SAN solutions.
-  Serve as final escalation point for critical storage issues and performance bottlenecks.
-  Analyze logs, storage metrics, and diagnostic outputs to resolve complex incidents.
-  Perform capacity planning and forecasting based on growth trends.
-  Work with Vendor support for SR escalation and resolution.
-  Automate storage provisioning and reporting using PowerShell, CLI, or REST APIs.
-  Create scripts for log analysis, performance monitoring, and routine operations.
-  Participate in infrastructure upgrade, migration, and new solution deployment projects.
-  Collaborate with architects and application teams to design storage layouts.
-  Provide input into storage strategy, including tiering, archiving, and modernization.
-  Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, zoning maps, and LUN assignments.
-  Support audits by providing evidence of storage encryption, data retention, and access controls.
-  Enforce change management and incident handling according to ITIL practices.
-  Create and update documentation for storage procedures. Technical Experience:
-  Should have sound experience Storages, High Availability, Disk technologies, RAID Levels, Flashpool and Flexclone.
-  Good Knowledge on Data Protection
-  Good knowledge on CIFS, NFS, ISCSI and FCP protocols.
-  Experience with installation, configuration and management of storage arrays and switches expected.
-  Experience with Brocade and Cisco SAN Switches.
-  Experience in Storage Pools, Tiering, LUN masking and zoning.
-  Proven skills in understanding customer storage requirements, implementing Fiber Channel and iSCSI SAN solutions, and integrating different operating systems and applications.
-  Experience integrating storage with cloud-based workloads or replication to cloud
-  Backup integration using NetBackup, Avamar, or Rubrik with Data Domain as target
-  Scripting/Automation
-  Security & Compliance Knowledge
-  Should have knowledge about the ITIL framework.
