Role Objective

FPO Market Linkage Manager – Sales & Operations


Key Responsibilities

1. Output Market Linkage & Sales Execution

  • Identify and onboard bulk buyers, traders, processors, mandis, exporters, and institutional customers for agri-produce.
  • Lead negotiations and closures of B2B sales deals ensuring fair prices and timely payments.
  • Monitor buyer requirements, sales cycles, quality standards, and delivery commitments.

2. Operations & System Building

  • Set up end-to-end systems for aggregation, procurement, quality grading, packaging, dispatch, and documentation.
  • Develop SOPs for farmer procurement, produce handling, logistics coordination, and MIS.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between FPO collection centers, transporters, and buyers.

3. Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Act as the key relationship manager for external partners including

    AGRITECH startups

    , exporters, logistic partners, and government agencies.
  • Ensure alignment of tech tools with operational needs – traceability, CRM, order tracking, digital payments, etc.

4. Export & Value-Added Opportunities

  • Identify export potential products and coordinate documentation, compliance (APEDA, FSSAI), and logistics.
  • Explore value addition opportunities through grading, packaging, branding, or minimal processing.

5. Farmer Member Expansion & Engagement

  • Increase participation of farmer members in output sales through regular engagement, awareness, and trust-building.
  • Coordinate training programs and onboarding sessions to align farmers with quality and quantity standards.

6. Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, dispatches, farmer procurement, buyer feedback, and revenue tracking.
  • Share weekly/monthly reports with senior management and suggest operational improvements.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements related to agri produce sales are met.


Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Management, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5++ years of on-ground experience in

    FPO sales, rural operations, agri procurement, or agritech implementation

    .
  • Must have experience in both

    sales execution

    and

    setting up operations

    in an agri/FPO/startup environment.
  • Familiarity with the Gwalior–Chambal–Bundelkhand agri landscape is preferred.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong B2B sales & negotiation skills
  • Ability to design and implement field-level operational processes
  • Understanding of agri-value chains and market dynamics
  • Stakeholder management – farmers, traders, exporters, tech partners
  • Team leadership and rural community engagement
  • Data-driven thinking, strong documentation, and reporting discipline
  • Comfort with rural fieldwork, Hindi communication, and digital tools (Excel, CRM, mobile apps)
