Job Description

Job Overview: Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations using Tally.Prime, handling financial transactions, tax compliance, reconciliations, and reporting. You’ll support audit processes, help in preparing financial statements, and ensure adherence to statutory norms and internal controls. Key ResponsibilitiesRecord daily financial transactions—sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries—in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime. Maintain ledgers, cost centers, inventory, and fixed assets data. Manage accounts payable and receivable: generate invoices, process vendor/customer payments, maintain aging reports and perform reconciliations. AdzunaBrites Management Services Conduct regular bank reconciliations; track and analyze cash flow, maintain petty cash. Brites Management Services Calculate and file GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B), reconcile GSTR‑2A/2B, and manage Input Tax Credit. Handle TDS deductions and filing (Form 16/16A) where applicable. Generate month‑end and year‑end financial statements—trial balance, profit & loss, balance sheet—via Tally. Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and MIS reporting. Assist internal and external audits by maintaining voucher documentation, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring data readiness. Brites Management Service. Back up Tally data routinely; coordinate software updates or transitions (e.g. migrating to Tally Prime). Ensure accuracy in grouping, cost centers, and coding structures. Collaborate closely with procurement, HR, operations teams and support junior accounting staff as required. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Tally certification (e.g., Tally Certified Accountant) is advantageous. At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting roles using Tally ERP in a mid-sized or retail environment. Strong command over Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime features: vouchers, cost center tracking, inventory, taxation, reconciliation tools. Deep understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory/tax regulations applicable in India (PF, ESI, income tax, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, pivot tables, and journal entry adjustments. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential financial information. Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills. Preferred Experience & TraitsFamiliar with retail or manufacturing sector accounting cycles, especially stock and inventory reconciliation. Experience handling month‑end close, bank reconciliations, fixed asset depreciation scheduling, and multi‑cost‑center accounting. Brites Management Services Ability to suggest and implement process improvements, automate routine workflows in Tally Comfortable mentoring or guiding junior bookkeeping staff. Deliverables & Performance MetricsTimely and accurate financial entry into Tally Account reconciliation accuracy (vendors, banks, customers) GST/TDS compliances—zero late submissions or penalties Timely generation of accurate financial reports Audit readiness and support quality (internally and externally) Process improvements in financial data workflows
