We’re looking for a seasoned Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the seamless management of our warehousing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operations in the warehouse, ensuring a smooth flow of inbound and outbound logistics.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics like throughput, order accuracy, and inventory turnover.
Vendor Management
Manage relationships with warehousing & logistics partners, suppliers, and other third-party vendors.
Client Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring timely resolution.
Understand client requirements and align warehouse operations to meet their SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Regularly provide clients with operational insights and updates through performance reports and review meetings.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead a team of warehouse supervisors, associates, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Develop and implement training programs to upskill the team on SOPs, safety protocols, and the use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Monitor and manage staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, and handle employee grievances.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, inventory tracking, and generating detailed reports.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on warehouse operations, KPIs, and cost management.
Use data-driven insights to forecast demand, manage capacity planning, and ensure optimal stock levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Proven track record in managing end-to-end warehouse operations, vendor relationships, and client coordination.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced functions).
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and other supply chain management tools.
Strong understanding of logistics workflows, inventory control, and transportation management.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to manage challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
