Job Summary:

Vice President of Technology

This leader will be responsible for executing our end-to-end technology strategy, modernizing our legacy systems, scaling DevOps capabilities, and building a modern data platform that powers business intelligence and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about emerging technologies, deeply experienced in enterprise-scale architecture, and energized by the opportunity to drive meaningful change.

You will partner closely with product, operations, and executive leadership to ensure our technology foundation accelerates innovation, supports growth, and delivers measurable business value. This role requires a hands-on mindset with the ability to lead from the front, influence at all levels, and translate vision into execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Leadership

Partner with the CTO to translate the company’s technology vision into actionable plans, architecture, and implementation roadmaps.

• Lead the execution of key modernization, platform scalability, and engineering transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Act as a thought leader and internal evangelist for modern technology practices, continuously evaluating emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns to maintain a competitive edge, provide informed recommendations and help guide architectural decisions in alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Security teams to align technical execution with company goals and priorities.
• Act as a hands-on technology leader and internal advocate for modern engineering principles, fostering adoption of best practices in design, scalability, and system resilience.

DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Reliability

• Architect and lead a modern DevOps strategy that enables rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of software across development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement and scale best-in-class CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment workflows that reduce cycle times and increase deployment confidence.
• Champion a shift-left approach to reliability, security, and observability—embedding operational excellence early in the development lifecycle.
• Guide cloud strategy and infrastructure evolution to support scalability, cost optimization, and hybrid/multi-cloud flexibility using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Lead site reliability engineering (SRE) practices including service-level objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and incident response protocols to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Stay current with advancements in DevOps tooling and cloud-native ecosystems to continually evolve the platform's maturity and performance.

Data Engineering

• Own the vision, architecture, and execution of a modern data platform that powers analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML use cases.
• Lead the build-out of scalable data pipelines and streaming architectures to ingest, process, and expose data across the enterprise.
• Establish robust data governance practices, ensuring data integrity, lineage, compliance, and secure access control across teams and systems.
• Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable for both operational and strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate and implement modern data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Delta Lake, dbt, Kafka) to accelerate data initiatives and democratize data access.

Job Location & Schedule:

• This job is an onsite job at Logile Bhubaneswar Office.
• It is expected that the selected candidate will be available to work with some hours of overlap with US work hours

Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years of progressive experience

  in Software engineering, DevOps, and data engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or VP/Director level role.
• Proven experience leading

  modernization initiatives

  , including transitioning from monolithic to microservices-based architectures.
• Deep hands-on expertise with

  Java-based platforms

  ,

  Spring Boot

  , and cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong background in

  DevOps automation

  , CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling

  enterprise-grade data platforms

  and cloud data pipelines (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
• Solid understanding of

  data governance

  , quality, lineage, and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Familiarity with

  API-first design

  , service orchestration, and platform scalability best practices.

• Self-driven and execution-focused

  , with a strong ability to take ownership of initiatives and drive them from concept to delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, collaborate cross-functionally, and

  rally teams around a clear technical vision

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience of leading and working with global teams is highly desirable
• The candidate should have ideally worked in a Product based organization
• Having a background in Retail Tech is a definite plus
• The candidate should be willing to work with the Logile India team in a highly collaborative in office environment at Bhubaneswar for all 5 days of the week
