Role Summary:-

US healthcare


Qualifications & Experience:-

  • Education: B.Tech / M.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with

    at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

    overseeing large, distributed teams
  • Proven experience in managing a headcount of 200+ employees

  • Proven experience leading software development and QA functions within healthcare, health tech, or data-driven enterprise products.
  • Strong understanding of US healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).

  • Expertise in cloud-native development (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, API platforms, and data analytics.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Agile, DevOps, and automation at scale.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Key Responsibilities:-


1. Strategic Leadership:

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with Advantmed’s product and business strategy.

• Lead multiple engineering functions – software development, quality assurance, DevOps, and support – ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

• Drive innovation through adoption of modern technologies (AI/ML, cloud-native architectures, data engineering).

• Collaborate with product management, data science, and operations to deliver technology solutions that support Advantmed’ s U.S. healthcare products and services.


2. Engineering Management:

• Oversee & improve the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) – architecture, development, testing, release management, and maintenance.

• Establish best practices for Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and code quality.

• Manage distributed engineering teams in India and collaborate closely with U.S.-based stakeholders.

• Implement robust metrics for performance, scalability, and reliability of systems.


3. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Build a world-class QA organization focused on test automation and blend of manual testing, performance testing, and compliance validation.

•Ensure all solutions meet U.S. healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).

• Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering and QA teams


4. People Leadership:

• Attract, mentor, and retain top engineering and QA talent.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

• Build succession plans and leadership depth within the technology organization


5. Operational Excellence:

• Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning.

• Oversee technology infrastructure, cloud operations, and data security in partnership with the InfoSec team.

• Ensure delivery commitments are met with predictable, high-quality outcomes.

  • Innovation: Successful implementation of new technologies (e.g., AI/ML, automation) in at least 2 major initiatives annually.
  • Compliance: 100% adherence to HIPAA, SOC 2, and security audit standards.
  • Team Health: >85% employee engagement and retention within engineering and QA.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Improved product NPS / client satisfaction scores by 15–20%.
  • Cost Optimization: Achieve targeted efficiency in technology spend without compromising quality.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Positive feedback from U.S. business and product stakeholders (measured via internal NPS or quarterly surveys).
