Job Description

Job Title – Senior Manager - Medical Coding Operations Reporting to- Assistant Director of Operations/ Director- Operations Span Handled- Has previous experience of handling a team of 150+ Medical Coders . Job Purpose - Manage SLA’s, Manager’s performance, plan short term and long-term strategies along with cross-functional teams for achieving the performance and elevating it to next level. Work Experience: Minimum 13 years of overall experience in Medical Coding with at least 7-9 years in a management role Should have experience in manpower planning and staffing for large teams Should have experience in client management, process transitions and/or managing multiple KPI’s, across Operations, Quality/Training Goals and Objectives- Meet client SLA’s Meet monthly projected targets, manage and optimize staff utilization Drive and develop systems and processes to achieve high standards of quality Manage team and its development Manage hiring and staff movement into different projects Work closely with Director and Management team to set and/or implement policies Duties and Job Responsibilities- Initiate and stabilize projects assigned in terms of efficiency and effectiveness Continually improve processes to achieve operational excellence Lead, manage, motivate and develop staff Design KPIs for effective collaboration between teams, which adheres to organizational requirements Achieve high levels of employee engagement, drive retention strategies Design and implement road map for employee growth structure up to Manager Level Collaborate with Cross-functional teams to improve the operational efficiency as well as Quality effectiveness Plan to make the Department scalable and implement the methods, which will reduce the cost Conduct periodic and annual reviews with the team Continually improve processes through RCAs, CAPA, Business Intelligence or automation to improve overall efficiency of the department Bring in value add to overall process Identify risks in project and plan to mitigate risk through planning and implementation Plan and delegate the work to the team members to ensure job rotation and job enrichment Simplify complex processes and promote lean strategies Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow Educational qualifications- Graduation/PG in any of the following: Dpharm/Bpharm/Mpharm/BSC/MSC/Btech or BHMS/BAMS CRC/CPC certified or any other relevant certification from AAPC/AHIMA would be preferred Key Technical Skills and Knowledge Required- MS Excel PowerPoint Attrition Management People Development Forecasting Staffing and Scheduling Manpower Calculation Excellent Communication skills Target Setting Cost Management Competencies Required- Teamwork and Team Orientation Decision Making Empathy Synergize a Team Time Management and Organization Active Listening Ability to work with numbers, analytical Skills Problem Solving Conflict Resolution Critical Thinking Creative Thinking Coaching and Motivation Emotional Intelligence Adaptability Delegation Project Management About Advantmed Founded in 2005 and based in California, Advantmed LLC is a healthcare information management company that provides healthcare organizations with the solutions they need to elevate their financial and clinical performance.
