Vice President of Software Engineering

Role Overview: As the Head of the Engineering team for our portfolio organization in Mumbai (Series A funded), your primary focus will be on leading a passionate team to enhance efficiencies, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and scale the technology infrastructure to support rapid business growth. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, build, and operate innovative products with a dedicated team of engineers. - Develop and deploy software with a strong emphasis on end-user experience, showcasing a track record of delivering web-scalable products. - Utilize experience in massively scalable distributed compute product architectures. - Demonstrate expertise in microservices-oriented architectures and scaling Big Data infrastructure. - Deliver platform technology and establish an ecosystem of applications and services across various verticals and solution offerings. - Successfully scale technology infrastructure to accommodate rapid customer/data growth. - Thrive in a fast-paced, design-forward, product-centric environment, embodying an entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative approach to leadership and mentorship. Qualification Required: - Possess a BS/MS/PhD degree in engineering/technology. - Ideally, have over 5 years of experience leading a small engineering team of 50-100 members. - Previous involvement in developing large-scale mobile and web complex products. - Demonstrated ability to formulate release plans, monitor deadlines, manage resources, address issues/risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. - Strong technical and architectural skills encompassing various areas of platform engineering, with the capability to delve deeply into any area as required.,
