Launched last year, VEDIC LAB has already passed the market-fit stage and is now entering an exciting phase of hyper-growth. We are looking for a dynamic OPERATIONS/ SUPPLY CHAIN LEAD who will play a crucial role in the next chapter of our brand.

What you will do?

As Operations Manager at VEDIC LAB®, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our supply chain operations from raw materials sourcing right through to manufacturing and distribution to our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of products from suppliers to customers while constantly driving cost and lead time efficiencies, as well as sustainability initiatives. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Strategy

   : Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on cost-effectiveness, scalability and flexibility to accommodate growth and market changes.

2. Sourcing and Procurement

   : Oversee sourcing activities, supplier selection and relationships, negotiation, and contract management to ensure continuous availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices.

3. Inventory Management

   : Forecasting, modelling and managing stock requirements across our various sales channels to ensure we’re always well covered to meet customer needs whilst keeping the supply chain as lean as possible.

4. Demand and Production Planning

   : Collaborate with commercial teams for accurate estimation of demand. Liaise with manufacturing partner to develop production plans to ensure timely completion of manufacturing activities based on the estimated demand.

5. Logistics and Distribution

   : Manage our warehouse and logistics partners to manage timely  distribution operations to streamline the movement of goods, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.

6. Financial management

   : As the owner of supply chain P&L, you will be responsible to monitor all costs associated with the end to end supply chain (both fixed and variable) to ensure the GP margin stays within the targets.

7. Risk Management

   : Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience against disruptions.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

   : Foster strong partnerships and communication channels with internal stakeholders such as sales, marketing, customer service, finance, and IT to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives and constantly implement process improvements.

Qualifications

‍ A bit about you:

• You have at least 3-5 years’ of relevant experience in supply chain, planning, inventory management and project management in a fast paced environment;
• You have a deep understanding of all aspects of end-to-end supply chain management and are able to anticipate future trends;
• You are highly numerate and analytical with strong Excel / Google Sheets skills;
• You are super organized, resourceful and proactive with a demonstrable hunger to learn and grow both personally and professionally;
• You are comfortable in the face of uncertainty and know that challenges will arise that require flexibility, compromise and creative solutions;
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
• You are comfortable being an individual contributor in a fast-growing start-up environment.

We want to meet you even more if you have:

• Familiarity with emerging digital supply chain management tools and technologies.
• Strategic sourcing and vendor management (including negotiation) skills.
• Experience with International markets (Europe preferred).
