Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Management Sr Executive with hands-on experience in Solar Power Projects to manage end-to-end procurement, sourcing, vendor development and management, contract management, and to possess strong negotiation abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless flow of solar project materials including civil and electrical components, optimizing costs, and supporting multiple project sites to achieve timelines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Source and procure solar power project materials, civil construction materials, solar equipment, and electrical components.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers, vendors, and contractors specializing in solar power projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency specific to solar power industry requirements.
  • Maintain vendor database, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with company, industry, and solar project standards.
  • Coordinate with quality and engineering teams for material inspection and approval.

Material Planning & Forecasting

  • Prepare material requirement plans based on solar project schedules and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project teams to align material availability with execution timelines.
  • Implement demand forecasting tools and methods to optimize procurement cycles specific to solar power projects.

Contracts & Documentation

  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs), service contracts, and vendor agreements aligned with solar power projects.
  • Maintain all records related to procurement, logistics, and statutory compliance including renewable energy regulations.
  • Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and budget adherence.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, client, renewable energy industry, and project specifications.

Cost Optimization & Process Improvement

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities within solar power procurement.
  • Support process automation and ERP/SAP implementation for better supply chain visibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead time and enhance efficiency in solar power project deliveries.
  • Participate in value engineering and strategic sourcing initiatives for solar materials and equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and Finance departments.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on procurement status, delivery timelines, and cost performance for solar projects.
  • Resolve material and logistics issues in coordination with site teams across multiple solar project locations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Technical Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of solar power project materials, civil construction materials, solar equipment, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong expertise in procurement, vendor development, and management for solar power EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in ERP/SAP, MS Excel, and material management systems.
  • Understanding of import/export processes, transportation regulations, GST, and renewable energy compliance documentation.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and team orientation.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Materials Management / Logistics / SCM preferred.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, sourcing in Solar Power / Civil Construction / Power / EPC projects.
  • Experience handling site-based procurement, vendor development, and coordination for multi-location solar projects is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
