About the Role:We are seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to lead our quality engineering efforts across systems that support inventory lifecycle management, product planning, andperformance analytics. This role sits at the intersection of quality engineering, test automation, and data integrity—playing a key role in ensuring our applications and datasetsare accurate, scalable, and reliable.As a Staff QE, you’ll work within a multidisciplinary Quality Engineering team and collaborate closely with software and data engineers to build automated test frameworks,reporting capabilities, and CI/CD pipelines. These tools underpin the consistency and reliability of the platforms that power inventory visibility, operational efficiency, andproduct availability.You will also partner with teams developing data models, backend services, and system integrations—ensuring high data and service quality for critical business functionsincluding Fulfillment, Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Business Intelligence.This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about test automation, functional testing, and delivering robust systems that enable data-driven decisions at scale. Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust automated test suites for APIs (REST/gRPC), backend services, and front-end applications using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, andPostman.Develop comprehensive test strategies for complex systems powering inventory management, product workflows, partner integrations, and data pipelines.Write, execute, and monitor integration, regression, system, and performance tests across service layers and analytics platforms.Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure thorough coverage and system validation.Define and track quality metrics; build dashboards and monitoring tools to gain visibility into product and data quality.Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to define quality standards and align testing strategies with business and technical goals.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; lead shift-left practices to embed testing early in the development lifecycle.Perform exploratory and manual testing to ensure functionality, performance, and data accuracy across platform components.Investigate and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar).Partner with data teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data across pipelines and reporting systems.Mentor QA and engineering team members in automation, test design, and continuous testing best practices.Drive improvements in QE tools, frameworks, and processes across the organization.Champion a test-driven development and quality-first mindset across the engineering organization.Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.Research, evaluate, and implement new tools and technologies to improve test coverage, efficiency, and overall software quality.What You’ll Work With

9+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality engineeringExpertise in test automation for APIs, services, and UIs using modern frameworks and languagesStrong experience in database testing, data validation, and using mocking/stubbing to improve test reliabilitySolid understanding of service-oriented and microservices architecturesProven ability to define and evolve scalable test automation frameworksExperience with CI/CD pipelines and working in agile development environmentsExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and root cause analysis skillsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesExperience in inventory management or fulfillment systems is a strong plusWhy Join Us
