Job Description Sr Associate - Release Manager Gurgaon/Bangalore We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate-Release Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the release management process, ensuring the successful delivery of software products and features. This position requires a effective understanding of software development life cycles, release planning, and cross-functional collaboration What You’ll Be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Develop and manage release schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business needs. Coordinate with development, testing, and operations teams to plan and execute release activities. Establish and continually improve release management processes and best practices. make sure adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements throughout the release lifecycle. Identify potential risks related to releases and develop mitigation strategies. Provide insights and recommendations for improving release success rates. Communicate release plans and status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. Conduct post-release reviews to assess the success of releases and gather feedback for future improvements. take part in the CAB meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, if any. Analyze release metrics to identify trends and areas for enhancement. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, QA, and operations, to facilitate smooth release processes. Foster a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement in release strategies. You will report to Test & Release COE Lead. What You Will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills And Abilities Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. effective understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, waterfall etc.). Experience with release management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, Harness, Azure DevOps, etc.). Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) Desired Skills And Abilities Excellent Communication & writing skills. Experience in working with JIRA /TFS. Experience in ITIL Methodology.
