Summary

This role acts as a strategic bridge between finance, business leaders, and global management. You will provide financial clarity for investments, challenge assumptions, and help maximise strategic value and ROI. Beyond managing costs, the focus is on enabling smart growth, optimising technology investments, improving operational efficiency, and aligning financial outcomes with strategic objectives.

The role involves close collaboration with the Head Office, senior leadership, and investors, requiring strong expertise in IFRS consolidation, balance sheet analysis, due diligence, and high-level financial reporting across global entities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Partnering

• Partner with regional leadership, CFOs, and operations teams to shape budgets, investment strategies, and performance tracking.
• Evaluate business cases and investment opportunities to drive revenue, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
• Liaise with corporate HQ and investor teams to ensure transparent communication and alignment with strategic goals.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting

• Lead full IFRS consolidation (eliminations, intercompany, disclosures, audit readiness).
• Deliver monthly reporting packs covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, net debt/gearing, and variance analysis.
• Manage the global budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycle, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
• Conduct balance sheet analysis and financial due diligence, ensuring reporting integrity and compliance.
• Translate financial insights into clear narratives for top management and investors.

Commercial & Decision Support

• Provide financial guidance on project planning, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations.
• Analyse vendor contracts (software, cloud, hardware, consulting) to optimise cost structures and ROI.
• Support investor-level financial reporting and audit preparation.

Governance, Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to financial policies, IT cost capitalisation rules, and global compliance standards.
• Coordinate external and internal audits, tax/VAT reporting, and financial governance activities.
• Standardise close processes and controls, driving automation using SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, or MBA preferred.

Experience

• 12+ years in FP&A, group reporting, IT finance, or finance business partnering in global or multi-entity organisations.
• Proven expertise in IFRS, consolidation, audit, and financial statement interpretation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Strong exposure to IT budgeting, cost allocation, vendor contract analysis, and ROI evaluation.
• Experience in ERP implementation, automation (SAP/Oracle), and financial transformation preferred.
• Background in due diligence and investor-level reporting.
• Experience in PE/SWF-backed or conglomerate environments is an advantage.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS standards (including IFRS 9 & IFRS 16), treasury metrics, and management reporting automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling abilities.
• Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills — especially with executives and investors.
• Ability to work under tight timelines with precision and attention to detail.
