Position Summary

We are seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in the AI data annotation ecosystem to lead our product development and go-to-market strategy. This role requires someone who understands the entire value chain from customer needs to technical execution, team management, and revenue generation in the rapidly growing data annotation market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Development

Define and execute product roadmap for AI data annotation platform serving enterprise clients

Lead end-to-end product development from concept to market launch

Drive platform architecture decisions for multimodal data annotation (text, image, video, audio, 3D point cloud)

Establish pricing strategies across different annotation types and volume tiers

Design workflow optimization tools to achieve significant productivity gains through AI assistance

Market Intelligence & Customer Success

Analyze customer needs across high-value segments (autonomous vehicles, healthcare, finance, conversational AI)

Manage relationships with enterprise clients requiring HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards

Develop go-to-market strategies for specialized domains (3D point cloud, medical AI, code annotation)

Lead competitive analysis against platforms like Scale AI, Labelbox, Appen, Outlier, SuperAnnotate

Team Leadership & Operations

Build and manage cross-functional teams including annotation specialists, QA engineers, and domain experts

Establish quality assurance processes ensuring high first batch acceptance rates

Implement scalable workflows supporting large-scale data processing capacity

Drive operational excellence across global workforce management

Business Development & Revenue

Package and sell platform services to enterprise clients with significant deal sizes

Develop partnership strategies with AI companies, autonomous vehicle manufacturers, healthcare organizations

Create pricing models optimizing for volume economics

Drive revenue growth through strategic platform positioning

Required Qualifications

Industry Experience (Must-Have)

5+ years in AI/ML data annotation industry with direct experience at platforms like Scale AI,

3+ years in product management with P&L responsibility for data annotation or AI training services

Proven track record managing enterprise clients with substantial annotation budgets

Deep understanding of annotation types: bounding boxes, semantic segmentation, 3D point cloud, conversational AI, medical imaging

Technical Expertise

- Platform Architecture: Experience building annotation platforms supporting multimodal data types

- AI/ML Pipeline: Understanding of model training workflows, RLHF, synthetic data generation

- Quality Systems: Implementing inter-annotator agreement metrics (Cohen's kappa, Fleiss' kappa)

- Compliance Standards: HIPAA, SOC2, ISO 27001 for healthcare and enterprise clients

- Productivity Tools: AI-assisted annotation, automated quality control, workflow optimization

Business Acumen

- Pricing Strategy: Volume-based pricing, per-label vs. hourly models, enterprise contracts

- Market Analysis: Understanding supply-demand dynamics in the annotation workforce

- Competitive Intelligence: Deep knowledge of competitor offerings, pricing, and positioning

- Revenue Operations: Experience with consumption-based pricing, annual commitments, SLA management

Leadership Skills
