Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and optimal performance of all plant equipment and utilities. This role involves leading preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer works closely with operations, safety, and engineering teams to support production goals in a fast-paced industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical equipment and utilities.
  • Breakdown Support: Lead the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurrent equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Equipment Reliability: Monitor equipment performance using KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR; propose and implement reliability improvements.
  • Spare Parts Management: Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal levels of critical spare parts and consumables.
  • Documentation: Ensure proper maintenance logs, SOPs, and equipment history records are maintained.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards and local regulations.
  • Project Support: Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant expansions.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with OEMs and service vendors for repairs, upgrades, and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and technicians.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
  • 3-14 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance; experience in solar, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, PLCs (Siemens, TIA Portal, Bechoff, TwinCAT), Robotics, Servo, and process equipment.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
