Roles and Responsibilities Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using techniques such as radiography (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and visual testing. Conduct quality checks on raw materials, products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications. Basic knowledge of quality Level 1 & 2 aware NDT testing
Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production. Product Process costing for new developments Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and quality assurance. Create and review engineering documentation and specifications. Perform prototyping and iterative testing to validate design concepts. Ensure products comply with all regulatory and safety standards and customer specifications. Manage timelines and project budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Support manufacturing teams during product launch and resolve any engineering issues that arise. Maintain system & processes for NPD & Engineering activities
1) Set up and operate cold heading machines to manufacture fasteners like bolts, rivets, and screws. 2) Install and align dies, punches, and fingers using micrometer, caliper, and other precision tools. 3) Adjust machine settings (e.g., ram stroke, feed length, kickout timing) to ensure dimensional accuracy 4) Troubleshoot tooling wear and machine malfunctions, replacing worn components and making fine-tuned adjustment 5) Load wire or metal stock into machines and monitor production 6) Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment 7) Inspect finished parts using micrometres and gauges. 8) Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and minimize waste 9) Document production data and report any deviations or issues 10) Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to improve processes Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Technical Skills Required 1) Proficiency in operating multi-die headers and progressive cold forming machines 2) Familiarity with tooling changeovers, including punch/die replacement and alignment 3) Ability to read GD&T symbols and interpret engineering drawings 4) Knowledge of material behavior (e.g., Silver copper and brass) during cold forming 5) Experience with preventive maintenance routines and lubrication schedules
