Sub-Function :- Engineering Maintenance for OSD Pharma manufacturing Plant.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Maintenance Engineer / Head

• Lead and supervise

  all mechanical and electrical works

  during the greenfield project, including equipment erection, alignment, installation, and commissioning.
• Oversee

  greenfield project execution

  , ensuring all production and utility equipment (RMG, FBD, FBP, Tray Dryer, Blenders, Coating Pans, Tablet Compression, Capsule Filling, Packaging Lines, HVAC, PW systems, Boilers, DG sets, compressors) are installed, commissioned, and qualified (IQ/OQ/PQ) in compliance with cGMP standards.
• Plan, implement, and monitor

  preventive and predictive maintenance programs

  for all plant equipment and utilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex

  mechanical and electrical breakdowns

  efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure

  documentation efficiency

  for all maintenance activities, including calibration records, equipment history logs, and validation/qualification records.
• Manage

  contractors, vendors, and in-house maintenance teams

  , ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Engineering, and EHS teams for seamless operations and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and train a

  high-performing maintenance team

  , fostering skill development, cross-training, and adherence to SOPs.
• Implement

  energy-efficient solutions

  and continuous improvement initiatives in plant maintenance.
• Ensure strict compliance with

  Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

  policies during all electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Provide strategic inputs for

  spare parts planning, AMC contracts, and budget optimization

  for the maintenance department.

Candidate Profile – Senior Maintenance Engineer / Head

• Qualification:

  B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience:

  10–15 years in pharmaceutical OSD plant engineering and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership/senior supervisory role.
• Strong expertise in

  both electrical and mechanical systems

  in pharma manufacturing.
• Proven experience in

  greenfield project execution

  , including equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• In-depth knowledge of

  cGMP, regulatory compliance, and documentation standards

  for maintenance and plant operations.
• Hands-on ability to

  troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical systems

  and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to

  manage teams, vendors, and cross-functional coordination

  .
• Knowledge of

  EHS standards, energy optimization, and continuous improvement practices

  .
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with strong communication skills.
