Job Description – Finance & Accounts Manager
Location: Chembur, Mumbai
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee the entire accounts and finance function of our polymer manufacturing business. The role requires strong financial acumen, leadership abilities, and expertise in statutory compliance, financial planning, and cost control. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving efficiency, and contributing to the company’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts & Compliance Management
Manage the end-to-end accounts function, including oversight of team members’ roles and responsibilities.
Ensure accurate financial accounting up to finalization of annual accounts and timely statutory compliance (GST, Income Tax, ROC, etc.).
Handle internal, statutory, and GST audits, ensuring compliance with auditors’ requirements.
Prepare and file Income Tax Returns and ensure adherence to all statutory regulations.
Financial Planning & Reporting
Prepare and present MIS reports, KRAs, fund management, risk management, and financial performance reports to management.
Prepare cash flow projections, CMA (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) data, QPR (Quarterly Performance Report), UFCE certificates, and other banking documents.
Submit No Dues Certificates and ratings data (e.g., CRISIL) as required.
Monitor financial KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
Continuously focus on cost reduction, cost control, and optimization of expenses without compromising efficiency.
Develop strategies to boost revenue, optimize product costing, and increase profitability.
Support implementation of new financial systems/processes in coordination with teams.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and motivate the Accounts & Finance team, ensuring accountability, high performance, and adherence to company policies.
Encourage a culture of discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
Imports & Payments
Assist the Import Department with custom duty payments, LC payments, and shipment tracking.
Prepare import product costing sheets, including sold/unsold details.
Manage payment letters, vendor settlements, and financial reconciliations.
Operational Support
Oversee sales billing, e-way bills, and e-invoicing in the absence of billing staff.
Prepare and maintain stock statements, project cost sheets, and quarterly performance reports.
Support management with any ad-hoc financial duties based on urgency and business requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA/ICWA preferred).
Proven experience (8–12 years) in Finance & Accounts Management, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of statutory compliances, tax laws, and corporate financial regulations.
Proficiency in Tally Prime/ERP, MS Excel, and MS Office.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines.
