**Job Summary**:

The Senior Accountant in Hyderabad is responsible for managing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This role involves preparing financial statements, overseeing general ledger activities, managing tax compliance, and providing mentorship to junior accounting staff. The Senior Accountant contributes to financial strategy and ensures accurate reporting to support business decisions in a dynamic corporate environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements) in compliance with Ind AS and/or IFRS.

- **General Ledger Management**: Oversee general ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.

- **Tax Compliance**: Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings; coordinate with tax consultants for accurate submissions.

- **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support organizational planning and cost control.

- **Audit Coordination**: Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and company policies.

- **Process Optimization**: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement robust internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- **Team Supervision**: Mentor and guide junior accountants, providing training on accounting practices and ensuring quality deliverables.

- **Financial Analysis**: Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting actionable insights to management.

- **Statutory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with local regulations, including Companies Act, 2013, and other financial reporting requirements in India.

- **Collaboration**: Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and HR, to align financial strategies with business goals.

- **Special Projects**: Support special initiatives, such as ERP implementations, financial system upgrades, or business expansion activities.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent); CA, CMA, or MBA Finance preferred.

- **Experience**: 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in Hyderabad or a similar metro city.

- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GAAP, and tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.).

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).

- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Strong communication and leadership abilities.

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

- **Certifications**: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

- **Other Requirements**: Fluency in English; knowledge of Telugu or Hindi is a plus. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data.

- Office-based in Hyderabad, with potential for hybrid or remote work depending on company policy.

- May require occasional overtime during peak periods, such as month-end, year-end, or tax filing seasons.
