Security Specialist

About the Role:

As a Security Specialist (Red Team), you will lead and execute adversary-emulation campaigns to assess and improve the organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and recover from sophisticated cyber threats. You will simulate real-world attack scenarios across technical infrastructure, human behavior, and operational processes to uncover gaps in security posture and incident response.

Key Responsibilities: • Design and execute adversary emulation campaigns that mimic tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of advanced threat actors using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of security tools, processes, and personnel in identifying and responding to simulated attacks.

• Collaborate with threat intelligence and blue teams to develop realistic attack scenarios tailored to organizational risk profiles.

• Conduct covert operations including phishing, lateral movement, privilege escalation, persistence, and data exfiltration, while avoiding detection.

• Test security across endpoints, networks, cloud environments, identity systems, and access controls.

• Deliver detailed post-engagement reports including attack paths, detection gaps, and recommendations for improvement.

• Build and maintain custom scripts, payloads, and infrastructure to support red team operations.

• Work with blue teams to validate detection logic and improve defensive capabilities through joint exercises. Requirements: Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.

• Certifications such as OSCP, CRTO, OSEP, CISSP, or GIAC Red Teaming (GRT) preferred.

• 5+ years in offensive security, red teaming, or advanced penetration testing.

• Proven experience in adversary simulation and detection bypass techniques.

• Proficiency with C2 frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux internals, Active Directory, and cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with EDR/SIEM evasion techniques and detection engineering.

• Scripting and development skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#).

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

• Ability to operate discreetly and ethically in sensitive environments.

Good to have Skills: MITRE
