Key Responsibilities

1. NOC Monitoring & Incident Response

• Continuously

  monitor IT infrastructure health

  using

  SolarWinds, SCOM, and ControlUp

  .
• Identify, analyze, and resolve

  network, server, and application performance issues

  .
• Perform

  real-time alert correlation

  and take proactive measures to prevent system downtime.
• Escalate unresolved issues to

  Lead NOC Engineers or specialized IT teams

  , ensuring timely resolution.

2. Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

• Troubleshoot and resolve

  performance, connectivity, and configuration issues

  across

  network, servers, and applications

  .
• Conduct

  RCA investigations

  for major incidents and recommend preventive actions.
• Work with different IT teams to resolve

  system degradation, latency issues, and resource bottlenecks

  .

3. Performance Optimization & Automation

• Optimize

  SolarWinds dashboards, SCOM alerts, and ControlUp monitoring configurations

  .
• Identify

  recurring issues

  and implement automation for common troubleshooting tasks.
• Assist in the development of

  custom scripts (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible)

  for automation and reporting.

4. Security & Compliance

• Ensure

  compliance with security best practices

  , identifying unusual system behaviors or potential threats.
• Work with security teams to integrate

  NOC tools with SIEM platforms

  for enhanced monitoring.
• Maintain

  secure access controls

  and role-based access management for monitoring tools.

5. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with

  network engineers, system administrators, and security teams

  to improve monitoring capabilities.
• Document

  NOC processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolution workflows

  .
• Provide technical guidance and

  mentorship to junior NOC engineers

  .

6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Generate

  performance reports

  , analyzing trends in network and system health.
• Participate in

  post-incident reviews

  , ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into preventive measures.
• Recommend

  enhancements to monitoring strategies

  for proactive incident detection.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have

• 4+ years of experience

  in

  NOC operations

  , focusing on

  infrastructure monitoring and incident management

  .
• Hands-on expertise in

  SolarWinds

  , including

  NPM, NTA, and SAM

  .
• Strong experience in

  Microsoft SCOM

  for system monitoring and alerting.
• Familiarity with

  ControlUp

  for

  real-time performance monitoring and remediation

  .
• Experience in

  incident management, troubleshooting, and RCA

  .
• Working knowledge of

  network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, WMI, ICMP, etc.)

  .
• Ability to work in

  a 24/7 environment

  , including shift-based operations.

Good-to-Have

• Certifications such as

  SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or ITIL v4

  .
• Exposure to

  cloud monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or Google Operations Suite)

  .
• Basic scripting knowledge in

  PowerShell or Python

  for automation.
• Experience with

  capacity planning and proactive performance tuning

  .
