The Director Sales will be responsible for establishing and leading the sales organization for Salesforce CRM consulting services across the India market. This role requires a strong entrepreneurial leader with deep expertise in Salesforce solutions and experience in developing sales functions in the Indian enterprise and mid-market segments. The focus will be on driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and scaling the sales team to capture market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy tailored to the India market for Salesforce CRM consulting and cloud services.
Build and scale a high-performing sales team focused on India’s diverse sectors including IT, BFSI, manufacturing, retail, and telecom.
Establish robust sales processes including prospecting, pipeline development, deal negotiation, and closure, aligned with Indian business practices.
Forge strong relationships with key decision-makers, C-level executives, and influencers in Indian enterprises and government sectors.
Collaborate with delivery, marketing, and product teams to offer market-relevant Salesforce solutions that address local compliance and business needs.
Implement sales performance metrics, CRM tools, and forecasting mechanisms suited to the Indian sales environment.
Keep abreast of local market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements affecting Salesforce adoption.
Represent the company at India-based industry events, forums, and Salesforce community initiatives to build brand presence.
Required Experience and Skills
12+ years in sales leadership roles in India, ideally within Salesforce CRM or cloud consulting services.
Proven ability to build and lead sales teams or functions from the ground up in India’s technology or consulting sectors.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce products and their applications relevant to Indian industries.
Strong network within the Indian Salesforce ecosystem, enterprise clients, and channel partners.
Skilled in navigating complex Indian sales cycles, cultural nuances, and procurement processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills tailored to Indian business environments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technology, or related fields,MBA and Salesforce certifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in Indian Salesforce consulting partners or multinational IT consulting firms.
Understanding of India-specific business challenges, digital transformation trends, and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage multi-city sales operations and remote teams within India.
