We are seeking a self-motivated and driven individual who can demonstrate a sound understanding of risk assessment and management in the context of a commodities trading environment. Strong communication skills - both written and verbal are a must. Candidates should also be data-oriented and have a strong aptitude for numbers.

This role would suit individuals with strong quantitative and statistical skills with previous industry experience. The Risk Management team is deeply involved in the day-to-day trading activities for the oil desk.

Key Responsibilities

 Trade capture & reconciliation of physical oil and paper trades (Futures, Swaps, Options)

 Daily reconciliation of forward curve report with broker marks

 Daily support on key pricing and market reports for respective oil desks

 Daily position exposure reporting to traders and senior management

 Profit & Loss computation and validation against market movements or other costs / revenues for management reporting

 Daily capture and accrual of secondary costs/revenues and periodic reviews of book accrual status

 Work closely with Singapore Risk team and Operations staff on various aspects of physical oil logistics and costs

 Liaise with Financial Control team on accounting matters or trade / cost capture in accordance with company guidelines and generally accepted accounting principles

 Tracking of physical trade movements and notifications and update the relevant trades in system

 Any other ad hoc duties that may be required from time to time

Education and Experience Requirements

 MBA/Bachelor's Degree in Oil & Gas, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or other quantitative discipline

 Basic knowledge of VBA, Python, SQL. More skilled is advantageous

 Knowledge of Oil & Gas is preferred

 Highly numerate, with good problem-solving and analytical skills

 Good communication skills – must be able to understand others’ perspectives and relate complex ideas to different groups, including senior management

 Must be able to work effectively in a team, flexibly handling a wide range of potential issues

 Must be capable of working with significant autonomy and ensuring analysis is focused on delivering practical business benefits, often in tight deadlines
