About the role

The Renewals Operations Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and executing the processes that ensure high renewal rates, operational efficiency, and predictable recurring revenue. This role partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams to streamline renewal workflows, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance the customer experience throughout the contract lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Support & Execution

  • Support Renewals teams with renewal quotes, contract documentation, account research, pricing approvals, and policy guidance.
  • Process Auto-Renewal transactions timely in advance of due dates.
  • Ensure renewal opportunities are created and updated accurately in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal on non-standard terms, amendments, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Verify data integrity for contract value, terms, billing frequency, and entitlement changes.

Renewals Process Management

  • Own and optimize end-to-end renewals workflows from opportunity creation to close.
  • Ensure renewal processes are executed consistently across regions, segments, and teams.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve process bottlenecks and improve deal velocity.
  • Maintain accurate renewal timelines, notifications, and follow-up cadence.
  • Own renewal forecasting processes, including churn prediction, pipeline coverage, and risk analysis.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process automation and tooling improvements to streamline renewals.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and training materials for renewal workflows.
  • Work with systems teams to enhance CRM configuration, quoting tools, and data flows.
  • Establish and manage governance around revenue and renewals policies.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–7+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Renewals Management, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of recurring revenue models (e.g., SaaS, subscription services).
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and quoting/CPQ tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
  • Strong project management and process documentation experience.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience with subscription billing systems (Netsuite).
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce).
  • Background in SaaS or B2B subscription-based businesses.
  • Familiarity with contract management, revenue recognition principles, and pricing policy.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
