Job Summary:

They also provide all other RBC divisions with similar services. They drive all regional sourcing projects for RBC-Dodge from RFQ and into serial production.


Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Development & Project Management

• Explore suppliers in your region for sourcing projects, assess their capabilities & capacities.

• Administrate the supplier onboarding process.

• Initiate and execute sourcing projects in your region following sourcing guidelines & process.

• Ensure supplier follows PPAP process for part development.

• Update internal steak holders with project status & timelines.

Contract Management & Supplier Relations

• Work with category managers to develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers in your region; manage supply base in your region.

• Enforce terms and conditions of purchase orders and other agreements.

• Oversee performance management of suppliers in your region.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure suppliers adhere to local laws and export compliance for USA supply.

• Resolve nonconformance issues.

• Participate & support Global Category Managers to Identify areas of risk within supply chain; implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Communication

• Work as a bridge between RBC-Dodge plants and Supplier to ensure communication and performance happens smoothly.

• Update plants & GCMs with any unforeseen events at suppliers and make necessary mitigation plans.

• Work with cross functional teams to remove any roadblocks during sourcing project execution.


Required Qualifications:

• Diploma/bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing & Vendor Development field. International purchasing experience is added advantage.

• Must be able to Speak, write & communicate in English; Knowing other regional languages will be added advantage.

• Understanding of Cost breakdown analysis & Should Cost.

• Understanding of PPAP & 8D processes.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes like Casting, Machining, forging, stamping etc.

• Supplier interaction skills & Project Management skills.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and access.

• Highly customer-centric, responsive and a go-getter.

• Strong analytical skills and presentation skills.

• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

• Effective problem identification and solution skills.


Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of sitting at a workstation.

• Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online and the ability to hear, comprehend, and document detailed information from others.

• Ability to type, reach and grasp.

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person.

• Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.

• Available to travel up to 50% of the time and have a valid passport.

• Ability to work in manufacturing sites, including foundries, steel mills, machine shops, forging shops, assembly centers, etc.


Essential Job Functions:

• Explore new suppliers across the region, Identify right suppliers for the business, drive & co-ordinate Supplier on-boarding process.

• Set-up and review pricing mechanism with suppliers in region, Ensure Price list have been shared with GCMs for updating SAP PIRs on timely manner.

• Support new product development projects to ensure acceptable quality level, right cost level and suitable production technology with suppliers.

• Support Plant SCM teams with update on open POs and managing business urgencies with respect to materials from region.

• Work with Suppliers to ensure they deliver On-time. Identify the lapses and implement improvement actions.

• Co-ordinate with logistics team and suppliers to ensure shipments are collected and dispatched in timely manner.

• Work with supplier quality team in region for new development projects, supplier development program and resolve quality nonconformity/claims.

• Work as a bridge between supplier and Dodge Industrial to resolve any quality, supply chain & communication issues.

• Drive implementation and development of corporate supplier tools.

• Work closely with tier one supplier to improve & sustain business relationship.

• Drive and manage stocking program at supplier in region to ensure the reduced lead time for material & avoid stock out at our plants.

• Optimize sourcing from region to attain maximum efficiency.

• Estimate supply risks and apply risk minimizing techniques at regional suppliers.

• Develop and execute strategic, in close coordination with Global Category leads.

• Conceptual knowledge & ability to implement quality management systems like ISO9001, TS16949 & ISO14001.

• Multi-cultural understanding (must understand business behavior in different countries to be able to reach best possible results and co-operation within a short period of time).
