Regional Sales Manager – Solar (Jammu & Kashmir & Punjab)

J&K and Punjab


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Achievement

  • Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets for solar panels, batteries, and systems.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and ensure timely stock availability.


Channel Development

  • Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors and dealers across both states.
  • Drive primary & secondary sales, monitor inventory health, and implement trade schemes.


Distributor Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong engagement with distributors; resolve issues related to pricing, claims, and credit.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and ensure compliance with company policies.


Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage Area Sales Managers and Territory Executives.
  • Set clear KRAs, monitor performance, and conduct joint market visits.


Market Coverage & Expansion

  • Increase outlet coverage and penetration in rural and urban markets.
  • Execute local marketing activities and dealer engagement programs.


Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to pricing discipline, credit norms, and documentation standards.
  • Provide timely MIS reports on sales, collections, and market intelligence.


Qualifications

  • A graduate/MBA is a plus.
  • 10–15 years

    in channel sales; solar/renewable experience mandatory.
  • Proven success in distributor management and regional leadership.


Skills

  • Strong channel development and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of solar products (panels, batteries, on-grid/off-grid systems).
  • Data-driven approach; proficiency in MS Excel and CRM tools.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Language: English/Hindi; Punjabi/Kashmiri preferred.

  • Revenue achievement vs target.
  • Distributor network growth and productivity.
  • Secondary sales and inventory management.
  • Market coverage and outlet penetration.
  • Collections and credit control.
