Job Description

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all branches and facilities within a designated region. This role ensures efficient management of processes, performance optimization, and seamless service delivery across all locations. The position requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to drive results by meeting KPIs related to operational performance, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations across all branches within the assigned region to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery.
  • Implement and enforce operational processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor operational performance across branches, ensuring consistent achievement of operational goals.
  • Manage the logistics, warehousing, inventory, and distribution functions to meet the required service levels.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage branch managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
  • Provide leadership in operational decision-making and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance team performance, skills, and knowledge.
  • Ensure staffing levels are optimized, including recruiting, training, and performance management.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to operational efficiency, productivity, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting operational achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct operational audits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of work across the region.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Service Quality:
  • Ensure that customer service standards are met or exceeded by all regional branches, with a focus on timely delivery, order accuracy, and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Act as a point of escalation for customer issues and work closely with the Customer Service team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyze customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Cost Control & Budget Management:
  • Manage the regional budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Monitor and control regional expenses to meet financial targets and profitability.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all branches comply with company policies, industry standards, health and safety regulations, and local laws.
  • Promote a culture of safety within all branches, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and proper training.
  • Address any operational or safety concerns promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:
  • Work with senior management to develop and implement regional strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including the use of technology, automation, and optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, HR, finance) to align operational goals with organizational objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and operational management principles.
  • Proven track record of meeting operational KPIs and achieving performance targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software (ERP, CRM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Operations Management or a related field.
  • Experience with regional or national scale operations.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to travel to different locations within the region.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required depending on operational needs.
