Job Description

Job Title: Quality Manager – Manufacturing (Gas Industry) Location: Vasai east CTC: 40,000 K TO 60,000 K Experience: 5 – 10 years Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Standards Develop, implement, and maintain ISO, IATF, or other applicable quality management systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, statutory requirements, and customer-specific requirements. Inspection & Testing Establish and standardize procedures for incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing. Monitor quality performance and initiate corrective measures as required. Process Control & Improvement Lead root cause analysis and implement effective Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA). Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and Lean methodologies. Monitor and analyze production processes to identify opportunities for waste reduction, defect prevention, and efficiency enhancement. Team Management Supervise and guide quality inspectors, engineers, and support staff. Provide training, coaching, and support to cross-functional teams on quality standards and practices. Customer & Supplier Quality Handle customer complaints, conduct investigations, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality of raw materials and components. Plan and execute supplier quality audits and establish supplier performance monitoring systems.   Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records, and audit reports. Prepare and present monthly/quarterly reports on key quality metrics (defects, rework, scrap, customer complaints). Key Skills & Competencies In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / other relevant quality standards. Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and customer-handling skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement practices. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial) or related field.
