SR Quality Control Engineer

Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer – Manufacturing (Gas Industry) Location: Vasai CTC: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month Experience: 3 – 5 years Key Responsibilities: ·        Develop, implement, and monitor quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. ·        Conduct in-depth analysis of defects, rejections, and customer complaints; implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). ·        Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA. ·        Support New Product Development (NPD) by defining inspection plans, quality checkpoints, and validation testing. ·        Prepare and review quality documentation, including control plans, process flow diagrams, and work instructions. ·        Coordinate with suppliers for incoming material quality and conduct supplier audits when required. ·        Guide and train junior engineers/supervisors on inspection techniques and quality system compliance. ·        Ensure timely calibration of measuring instruments and maintain records in line with ISO/IATF standards. ·        Generate and present quality performance reports and metrics to management to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: ·        Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. ·        3– 5 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing, preferably in the gas industry or precision engineering sector. ·        Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality standards and related documentation practices. Skills & Competencies: ·        Strong understanding of quality tools: 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, CAPA. ·        Proficiency in preparing and maintaining quality documents (control plans, process flow diagrams, work instructions). ·        Experience in handling supplier quality, audits, and incoming material inspection. ·        Hands-on knowledge of calibration processes and measuring instruments. ·        Analytical, detail-oriented, and methodical problem-solving approach. ·        Good communication, reporting, and training skills. ·        Ability to lead small teams and guide junior engineers/supervisors. ·        Computer proficiency: MS Office, ERP (preferred).
