Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant ( Applicants must have experience in the manufacturing industry Only) Department: Accounts & Finance Location: Chandivali, Andheri east        CTC: 6 LPA                                                             Experience: 8 Years +   ________________________________________ Role Overview: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting functions, ensuring accurate preparation and finalization of financial statements, handling GST and other statutory compliances, and ensuring adherence to all financial regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and statutory compliance. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Finalization of Accounts & Balance Sheet o Preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. o Review of trial balance, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliation of accounts. o Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. o Coordination with auditors for statutory and internal audits. 2. GST & Tax Compliance o Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return, etc.). o Handling GST reconciliation between books and GST portal. o Addressing GST-related notices, queries, and assessments. o TDS, Income Tax, and other indirect/direct tax compliance. 3. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance o Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other applicable laws. o Preparation and submission of necessary reports to regulatory bodies. o Support in ROC filing, PF, ESIC, and other statutory obligations. 4. Financial Management & Reporting o Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. o Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards. o Support management in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. 5. Team Coordination & Support o Supervision of junior accountants and support staff. o Provide guidance on day-to-day accounting operations. o Ensure timely closure of books and reporting deadlines. ________________________________________ Key Skills & Competencies: • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, Income Tax, and ROC compliance. • Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / MS Excel or other accounting software. • Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to handle audits and liaise with statutory authorities. • Strong communication and team management skills. • Only candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing industry will be considered ________________________________________ Qualification & Experience: • Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter/Final preferred). • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in accounts & finance, with strong exposure to balance sheet finalization, GST & compliance.
