We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team!

The Quality Assurance Analyst ensures the accuracy, reliability, security, and compliance of Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions, configurations, and processes across a complex enterprise environment. This role validates system behavior, assesses risks, tests Power Platform solutions, confirms governance and compliance controls, and ensures that configurations and enhancements meet defined requirements. The analyst works closely with engineers, developers, architects, and security teams to support high-quality cloud operations and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional, configuration, and security validation across Microsoft 365 services, ensuring solutions meet technical and business requirements.
  • Review, assess, and confirm M365 configurations—including permissions, policies, DLP rules, retention settings, sharing controls, and authentication logic—for accuracy and alignment with governance standards.
  • Perform QA reviews of PowerApps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards to ensure functional behavior, data integrity, usability, and compliance.
  • Execute testing and validation on customizations within Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, and Power Platform.
  • Review and validate Purview-based data protection, classification, and data lifecycle configurations to ensure proper coverage of sensitive and high-risk data.
  • Validate operational and security behavior of Copilot features and AI-driven capabilities across the M365 ecosystem.
  • Validate AvePoint Online Services configurations, including tenant governance, DLP, backup rules, auditing, and automation for completeness and correctness.
  • Support troubleshoot-and-analyze activities by identifying root causes, documenting defects, reproducing issues, and validating corrective actions.
  • Review and verify implementation of enterprise policies such as data retention, classification rules, auditing, and conditional access.
  • Track and validate Security Change Requests, ensuring changes adhere to documentation, approval processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, administrators, developers, and security teams to ensure all changes and deployments maintain high quality and low risk.
  • Assist in the development of test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, and validation documentation for system updates and enhancements.
  • Prepare QA summaries, defect reports, test validation results, and readiness assessments for leadership and project teams.
  • Participate in risk assessments, quality reviews, configuration change boards, and implementation planning sessions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to quality processes, testing frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of findings, test outcomes, defects, and validation steps to support transparency and traceability.
  • Communicate risks, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
  • Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
  • ISTQB Certified Tester

Security Clearance

  • Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 Cloud environments in large corporate or government settings.
  • Experience implementing, managing, and optimizing M365 enterprise solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Teams, Copilot, and AvePoint.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional processes and collaboration across M365 workloads.

Primary Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Power Platform technologies (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Knowledge of Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and the broader Azure ecosystem.
  • Experience validating M365 development and SharePoint Administration, including permissions, governance, and configuration accuracy.
  • Experience reviewing user permissions, retention rules, compliance settings, and governance controls for correctness.
  • Working knowledge of Copilot for Power Apps, Copilot for Power Automate, and AI Builder to assess functionality, risks, and behavior.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across the M365 platform and AvePoint Online Services from a quality and defect-identification perspective.
  • Experience reviewing data readiness plans and Purview integrations to ensure proper coverage for sensitive data.
  • Functional experience validating SharePoint Online structures, permissions, policies, and impacts of changes.
  • Knowledge of AvePoint Online Services and its security features (tenant-to-tenant, Splunk integration, BYOK, IP restrictions, SFTP).
  • Experience confirming the correct application of enterprise policies (DLP, classification, retention).
  • Experience reviewing, tracking, and validating Security Change Requests and audit logging solutions.

Secondary Requirements

  • Experience validating Microsoft enhancements such as Defender, Copilot, Loop, Purview, and Graph connectors for functional accuracy, compliance, and usability.
