We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant, Architecture to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design, planning, and oversight of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Power Platform–based enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, governance policies, and industry best practices.
- Develop, document, and maintain enterprise-level architecture standards, patterns, and reference models to support scalable, secure, and sustainable M365 solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, QA, development, and operations teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery, including design reviews, integration support, and technical governance.
- Oversee the architectural aspects of M365 service implementations including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, Azure AD, Intune, Copilot, and AvePoint Online Services.
- Provide expert guidance in designing and integrating PowerApps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI solutions across complex enterprise environments.
- Assess and optimize information architecture, data models, app designs, and resource utilization within Dataverse environments from a performance and scalability perspective.
- Establish, configure, and maintain Power Platform environments at the tenant level, implementing governance, compliance, and lifecycle management strategies.
- Define and implement security, retention, and compliance architectures across M365 to align with enterprise information governance policies.
- Review and guide .NET-based custom solution implementations to ensure alignment with architectural standards, integration requirements, and M365 best practices.
- Develop automation and governance scripts using PowerShell to support enterprise-scale configuration, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Conduct architectural assessments, troubleshoot complex multi-service issues, and provide root-cause analysis with long-term remediation strategies.
- Design SharePoint Online site architectures, information architectures, and integration patterns supporting enterprise content management and application solutions.
- Develop strategies for OneDrive and tenant-level backup, recovery, and retention configurations.
- Lead and coordinate Proofs of Concept (POCs), pilot initiatives, and technical evaluations for emerging M365 and Power Platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture direction.
- Provide expert-level technical consulting to stakeholders, advising on solution feasibility, integration options, risk mitigation, and adoption readiness.
- Produce and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, governance materials, and knowledge-sharing content supporting solution delivery and operational continuity.
Education:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Architecture, or related field
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- TOGAF or Zachman Framework Certification
Security Clearance:
- Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required
General Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud Based Suite in a large corporate or government environment.
- Experience with the M365 cloud platform implementing, managing, and optimizing M365 solutions across organizational environments.
- Hands-on knowledge implementing, managing, and optimizing M365 solutions (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, Teams, Copilot, AvePoint), including migrations, security, and governance practices in M365.
- Comprehensive understanding of cross-functional tasks and responsibilities to support seamless collaboration with engineering, security, QA, development, and operations teams.
Primary Technical Requirements:
Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Flow/Power Automate).
- Strong understanding of the .NET development stack (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) sufficient to design, review, and govern M365 solution architectures.
- Proficiency in creating PowerShell scripts to support configuration, automation, and governance for M365 services.
- Knowledge of Exchange, Intune, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem for identity, access, device management, and cross-service integration in architectural designs.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 development and SharePoint Administration (tenant and site-level architecture, configuration, and governance).
- Experience designing and/or developing PowerApps models used in enterprise solutions.
- Experience designing solutions that customize SharePoint lists and integrate disparate systems using PowerApps.
- Experience managing user permissions, data retention, and compliance settings within M365 to align with enterprise policies and governance requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with Copilot for Power Apps, Copilot for Power Automate, and AI Builder as part of M365 solution architecture and design.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the entire M365 cloud platform and AvePoint Online Services, focusing on architectural root causes and systemic fixes.
- Experience monitoring performance and usage of Dataverse environments, including optimizing data models, monitoring resource utilization, and troubleshooting issues as they arise from an architectural/performance perspective.
- Experience establishing and configuring Power Platform environments, including tenant-level setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance aligned to architectural patterns and governance.
- Experience monitoring M365 services and end user data retention requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise information architecture and compliance policies.
- Extensive working knowledge of SharePoint Online Administration, including site architecture, information architecture, and integration with other M365 services.
Experience to support, configure, and maintain tenant and backup solutions for OneDrive, including retention and recovery strategies at the architectural level.
Secondary Requirements
- Experience coordinating and conducting multiple Proofs of Concept and pilot testing for new or enhanced M365 / Power Platform / architecture patterns.
