Position Overview

Purchasing & Material Sourcing Manager


Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Vendor Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Build and maintain a reliable vendor network and maintain an up-to-date pricing database.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to expand supply options and mitigate risks.

Team Oversight & Process Management

  • Supervise and mentor purchasing assistants or coordinators.
  • Review and approve purchase orders ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Implement standardized procurement processes and reporting systems to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project and operations teams to forecast material requirements accurately.

Price Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends and material prices to recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement performance, vendor reliability, and cost variances.
  • Use 

    Excel

     (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and 

    SQL

     to analyze purchasing data, generate insights, and track supplier performance.

Operational Coordination

  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to warehouses, production facilities, and project sites.
  • Resolve supplier issues including quality disputes, delivery delays, or invoicing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with accounting for accurate payment schedules and procurement cost tracking.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management; experience in e-commerce, beauty, or fashion industries preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with 

    Excel

     for reporting, data tracking, and analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of 

    SQL

     for data analysis and procurement reporting.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and manage procurement budgets effectively.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce operations, preferably in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle products.
