The Project Manager – Defence Programs will be responsible for driving project tracking, documentation, compliance, and cross-functional coordination across all internal teams (Engineering, Production, SCM, Quality, Legal, and Compliance). This role ensures on-time and proactive coordination towards ensuring timely delivery of complex Unmanned Aerial Systems programs while maintaining aerospace standards, documentation rigour, and certification compliance.
This position offers full lifecycle exposure to cutting-edge defence programs — from development through certification and production — in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Own and maintain project trackers for deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and risk flags across multiple teams: Production, SCM, Quality, Engineering, and Support Functions.
Drive schedule adherence, task allocation, and daily progress tracking through digital tools (ClickUp, MS Project, or equivalent).
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Production, Finance, IT, Admin, etc) to resolve operational bottlenecks.
Prepare weekly and monthly project dashboards, highlight critical path activities, and report delays or issues for leadership review.
Develop and maintain project documentation templates and stage-gate deliverables.
Ensure internal and external documentation compliance for design reviews, production milestones, and delivery audits.
Maintain document version control and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Support techno-legal document reviews (NDAs, contracts, agreements) in coordination with paralegal/legal teams.
Support and track compliance to Aerospace Standards and Defence Quality Assurance (DGQA) requirements.
Coordinate certification efforts for Type Certification of UAVs — including DGCA, EASA, and related regulatory bodies.
Liaise with certification authorities and ensure documentation is audit-ready and standards-compliant.
Interface with the legal and paralegal teams for techno-legal reviews, NDAs, license agreements, and renewals.
Support coordination of IP and patent filing activities related to project deliverables.
Track industrial licenses – granted, pending, and renewal cycles – ensuring compliance and timely submission.
Participate in or lead the implementation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools across the organization.
Support tool evaluation, deployment, user training, and adoption for PLM systems such as ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or Duro.
Work with cross-functional teams to align PLM structures with ongoing project workflows and documentation needs.
Project Management:
Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder technical programs.
Strong understanding of deliverable-based tracking and cross-functional coordination.
Proficiency in project management software (ClickUp, MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
Technical & Compliance:
Awareness of Aerospace standards, Defence compliance frameworks, and certification processes.
Understanding of production, supply chain, and quality workflows in aerospace/defence environments.
Documentation & Legal Interface:
Skilled in technical documentation, version control, and techno-legal review processes.
Familiarity with IP filing coordination, NDAs, and industrial licensing is preferred.
PLM Systems:
Exposure to PLM tools like ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or Duro is desirable.
Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
High attention to detail, with a “track-to-close” mindset.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary, and fast-evolving R&D setup.
5–6 years of experience in Aerospace, Defence, or Industrial Manufacturing programs.
Demonstrated ability to handle multi-stakeholder project execution with discipline and accountability.
Has seen at least one complete project lifecycle (from initiation to delivery or certification).
